by Debora Montesoro
I am available to take on several commission pieces a year, and I really enjoy the opportunity to collaborate on a piece of art. My area of expertise is digital portraits, beautifully printed on archival paper, using giclée printing process.
Please get in touch to discuss your project. Although I'm flattered to receive any request, I will only work on projects that align with my vision and body of work.
My portraits are not a mere reproduction of one single photo, but rather they are based on a range of images of the subject, as well as a good understanding of the person subject of the portrait. That’s why I like to spend a couple of hours chatting about the subject, to really get under their skin.
Once I have completed the first draft of the portrait, I will share it with you. This will give you the chance to get a good sense of what the image will look like, and to provide any feedback you may have.
When the portrait is complete, I will ask you to approve the final image before the artwork is printed (and mounted/framed if required).
How long will it take
It usually takes 3-4 weeks from our initial chat to the despatch of your artwork. Timings will vary depending on the complexity of the artwork (i.e. multiple subjects) and any mounting/framing requirements, which will increase production times. Once we have discussed your project, I will give you a more accurate indication of when you can expect to receive your artwork.
How much will it cost
Prices vary depending on the complexity of the project and the size of the artwork, as well as any mounting/framing requirements. For example, 11”x14” unframed portraits start from £350.
Prices will be confirmed once we have discussed your project and agreed ahead of commencing the work. A 25% deposit will be requested to start the work. A further 50% will be required upon satisfactory review of the first draft. Your artwork will be dispatched once your payment has cleared.
